Yes. I seem to have been on the bus for nearly 24 hours.
And I'm not even halfway across Canada yet.
At one point I tried writing a bit, here is a sample:
Day 1
Bus 1: 7:55am
Bus 2: 8:35am
Bus 3: 12:01am
Accomplishments: Made the Phentax Bag (finished 8pm)
Unfortunately, knitting needles etc. taken away on Bus 3 (might poke someone with my pointy things, said the Goth Security Man in Edmonton).
However, since Edmonton bus ride is seven hours in the middle of the night, probably won't be knitting much anyway.
Speaking of the Goth Security Man, I don't understand why he works at the bus depot. He's not really a bus person. Or is he... cleverly disguised as a spikey-haired-nail-polished-goth-man...
Englightening stuff, isn't it.
I arrived in Saskatoon around 7am this morning. So, with the time difference of one hour, I was riding the bus for... not a full day. The math is a bit fuzzy.
The plan is to stay in S'toon for a couple days, then head to Ontario. However, based on my last bus experience (an hour ago) I think I'm going to try to stop in Winnipeg before attempting to cross into Ontario.
So far the packing list I am still keeping secret seems to be alright. However, I feel uncomfortable having expensive things on the bus because I'm sleeping so much. I noticed just how paranoid I was while on Bus #3. I kept waking up and adjusting my luggage just to make sure it was all still surrounding me.
That said, it's too late to change it up. So Paranoid Electro-gadget Robyn (PER) will be joining me across Canada. Followed none-too-shortly (most assuredly) by Cranky Tired-of-the-bus Robyn (CTR).
Should be legendary. I'm going for a nap.
